Lotte studied business administration at Windesheim College. It was her final year and she chose Workspace 365 for her graduation thesis. And, she wanted to work with us to gain more experience in the field. Read her experience about her internship here!
Workspace 365 has grown rapidly in the past year. "I really liked that the organisation had just made the step abroad. I wanted to include that in my thesis. Together, we looked at an interesting topic and that is how I came up with my research question: How do we reach IT managers in the UK within the education sector from Workspace 365? The scale-up phase that the organisation is in is interesting. There is an awful lot happening."
At Workspace 365, we like to think along with you about your development and wishes for an internship period. "I wanted to do research, but also collaborate. So, for example, I interviewed many English IT managers during my internship. I was able to improve my English and learn a lot about technological terms. It was sometimes difficult, but I did it. I learned a lot from that. I also optimised the website and wrote blogs. It was nice that I had this opportunity and it also felt like I could contribute to the further growth of the organisation."
Lotte chose Workspace 365 because of its culture and atmosphere. "Doing research is not necessarily the most fun part of my studies. It is nice to be at an organisation where you can learn a lot and where there is a good atmosphere. Workspace 365 has a lot of knowledge and experience about marketing, so that was definitely a plus. You get freedom and responsibility and your ideas are also used."
Commitment is important to us as a company. But, after the effort, there may also be time for relaxation. "When I handed in the draft version of my thesis, we had a glass of champagne together to celebrate. I enjoyed that! Colleagues were interested in what I had done. That makes you feel appreciated and that is valuable. I look back on it positively.
