Your role as Backend Developer

In this role, you’ll be responsible for everything that happens behind the scenes of our product. You’ll ensure that systems run smoothly, remain reliable, and are ready for the future. Your tasks will include:

• Building and maintaining integrations and APIs.

• Maintaining our codebase and ensuring it aligns with our coding style guidelines.

• Optimising the performance of existing and new features.

• Experimenting with new technologies and coming up with smart solutions.

You’ll develop integrations based on requests from end users, partners, or your own vision. We regularly organise sessions with our customers and partners to gather insights, giving you fresh input to drive innovation. You’ll also contribute to the technical roadmap and have the opportunity to apply your expertise where it’s needed most. Of course, you won’t be doing this alone—you’ll be part of an informal and international team!

The team

You’ll be joining our experienced Development team, which consists of Full Stack, Front-end, and Backend Developers. Your team will work closely with other teams in the Product Circle, including Design, Operations, QA, and the Product Owner.

The team operates partly remotely and from our office in Nijkerk. Flexibility is key to us, so we’re open to finding the work arrangement that suits you best—whether that’s remote, in Nijkerk, or a mix of both.

What do you bring?

• At least 4 years of experience as a Backend Developer.

• Experience with C# and SQL.

• Preferably, experience with integrations and APIs.

• Strong communication skills and an open attitude toward feedback.

• Curiosity: you enjoy exploring new things and solving problems creatively.

• Proficiency in English.

Tech stack you’ll be working with:

C#, ASP.NET MVC Core, Microsoft SQL Server, NHibernate, Fluent NHibernate, Redis, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Autofac, Webservices (APIs), and MAUI.
